System Integration Engineer

Location:  Vacancy is for Manila office only.

Overview:

• Participates in understanding client's requirements.
• Installs and configures 3rd party middleware software.
• Installs and configures proprietary applications in a UNIX environment.
• Performs basic, integration, alarm and relevant testing to ensure compliance of the system to client's requirements.
• Creates test specifications when needed.
• Travels on site to complete projects.
• Resolves problems of the systems.
• Troubleshoots issues related to external interface of the client.
• Assists clients in understanding new services as well as on its Operations and Management (O&M) functions.
• Keeps pace with related emerging technology and trends, and introduce new tools and techniques.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Communications or equivalent required.
• Experience in administration of Solaris 10 or Linux servers.
• Knowledge in firewalls, Cisco routers, 3Com switches and network design.
• Familiarity with SMTP, LDAP, DNS, RADIUS, Clustering, NetBackup and Sun Java Enterprise System.
• Demonstrates skills in HTML making, shell scripting and using automated testing tools.
• Knowledge in GGSN, MMSC, SMSC and other 2G/3G components.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be analytical and has an eye for details.
• Ability to 'make things happen' and to 'get things done'.
• Quick learner and excellent team player.
• Possesses positive attitude.
